She grew up in the Rockford area attending Guilford High School where she began her Criminology studies under retired officer Jeffery Barabasz. It was here that sparked her investigative style research and lit the path toward her career in the legal field. Amelia has remained deeply rooted in her interest to explore criminal behavior and committed to engaging in her legal career by providing assistance to attorneys as well as clients that have been harmed by disproportionately advantaged systems.

Catalina Torres Reyes

Catalina Torres Reyes joined our firm in May 2026 and is currently the paralegal for Karen Enright, focusing on personal injury cases. She earned her B.S. in Health Sciences with a concentration in Biosciences from DePaul University and graduated in June of 2023.  Post-graduation, Catalina worked as a CNA and was interested in medical school before transitioning to law. She completed her Paralegal certificate at Roosevelt University in 2026, before working for the firm. Her time in the medical field allowed her to see the different injustices individuals often face when receiving medical care, which ultimately inspired her to work in personal injury law.
